April 29, 2008 - for Vista Users:  The installation instructions suggest turning off UAC, as this can interfere with the registration process.  If you receive an error when attempting to enter your registration code, do one or both of the following steps:

1. Go to Control Panel, User Accounts and turn off User Access Control.  Then go into Regatta Master, Help, Register and retry registration.
2. If you still get an error message saying the program could not write to the registry, create a new user account with administrative rights, and log on as that user.

If this does not correct the problem, you can create the registry keys manually:

1. Run regedt32.exe and expand HKLM\Software
2. If you do not see the following key, create it: Jenisys\Regatta Master\Versions\3.1. This key should have 3 values:

   Organization ID (String Value REG_SZ): upper case and numbers, no spaces or punctuation (ie, ABC1234)

    Organization Name (String Value REG_SZ): Upper and lower case string (ie, Acme Boat Club)

   Reg ID (String Value REG_SZ): Upper case and numbers, no spaces or punctuation (ie, A123456)
    

3. If the values do not exist, create them, and enter your registration keys as illustrated above.

If you cannot save your changes to the registry, then you still have a permissions issue on your computer.

March 30, 2008 - Microsoft has released Access 2007 Runtime SP1, which corrects the problem with the PDF add-in and other export format issues.  The installation file on the download page includes the new runtime.  The version updates only contain the program file, so to update the runtime, you must reinstall the runtime by following these steps:

1.  In Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, remove Microsoft Access 2007 Runtime.
2.  Download and install the new runtime.  Click here to download the executable.

October 19, 2007 - the first release of the Regatta Master 2007 user manual incorrectly states that Windows 2000 is a supported operating system.  Regatta Master 2007 can only be run on Windows XP SP2, Windows 2003 Server, and Windows Vista.  Regatta Master 3.0 revision 136 will still be supported for Windows 2000 only.  Windows NT 4.0 and all versions of Windows 9x and Millenium are not supported for either product.
